Olly has senior international experience in the racing and breeding industry which is quite simply unparalleled. During his 15 years at Darley, Olly established the organisation in Australia, expanded it in Japan, developed it in the United States before relocating to the UK in 2010 when he was responsible for the Darley operations globally. Elected to the Breeders’ Cup Board of Directors, Members and Trustees in 2009, Olly was their Audit and Finance Chairman until 2013. From 2006-2008, Olly was President of the Hunter Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association in Australia and a Director of Aushorse, the representative body of commercial thoroughbred breeders in Australia.
Chris will be responsible for the farm’s operations and the management of our staff and horses.
Chris has a wealth of experience in the thoroughbred industry, having worked for Bellerive Stud, Greg Bennett and Lanwades Stud in the United Kingdom. Most recently he has held senior positions as the Operations Manager at Bluegum Farm and the Manager of Noorilim Park in Victoria. Under his guidance Noorilim Park consigned the top priced yearling at the 2023 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale, the I Am Invincible filly out of Special Lover that sold for $1.1 million.
Jess was born and raised on the Cootamundra property, the daughter of Twin Hills’ long-standing former stud manager, Steve Brien. Having worked for Godolphin as the stud secretary at Woodlands Stud in Denman from 2012 to 2015 and as Personal Assistant to Godolphin Australia CEO Henry Plumtre for further two years, Jess returned to Cootamundra in 2017 to work as the Office Manager. In this role, she oversees the HR and farm administration for all Twin Hills’ clients and suppliers.
Jess has been a part of the Twin Hills team since 2019. A graduate of Charles Sturt University (Wagga Wagga) with double degrees in Veterinary Science and Veterinary Biology in 2013, Jess has also trained in equine veterinary hospitals in Scotland and New Zealand. She has also worked in racing stables, on breeding properties and assisted during yearling preparations. After graduation, Jess has worked in mixed animal practices and sole equine clinics in Queensland, NSW and Victoria. More recently, she has completed further training in equine dentistry and ultrasonography.
