The 2014 Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1T) winner Bobby’s Kitten will shuttle to Twin Hills Stud in New South Wales, Australia from Kirsten Rausing’s Lanwades Stud in Newmarket, England, it was announced March 31.
He will be the first son of Kitten’s Joy to stand in Australia.
The Ken and Sarah Ramsey homebred won the 2013 Pilgrim Stakes (G3T) by 6 1/4 lengths as a juvenile. At 3, he placed in both the National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes (G2T) and the Ricoh Woodbine Mile (G1T) before taking the Turf Sprint.
After finishing 4th in the 2015 Turf Sprint, Ramsey sent Bobby’s Kitten to Europe with an eye on Royal Ascot. After winning Ireland’s 2016 Cork Sprint Stakes by 8 1/2 lengths, Rausing made an offer to buy the horse and he became the first son of Kitten’s Joy to stand in Europe.
